CASINO DESIGN AWARDS

CASINO DESIGN AWARDS in Casino Design 2019. The magazine's annual awards: the projects and practices singled out by the jury, with the reasoning behind each citation. 1 story. The rest of the issue follows below. Sections are the magazine's own: each annual was assembled out of departments that recurred from year to year, and the pages are kept at the addresses the issue gave them.

1 storie sit under CASINO DESIGN AWARDS, all of them from 2019. The longest of them is Casino Design Awards 2020.

CASINO DESIGN AWARDS is one of 6 departments in Casino Design 2019; the others are Columns, COMPANY PROFILES, Departments, FEATURES and GGB Directory. The issue as a whole carried 24 stories, and all of them are listed on the Casino Design 2019 page. In order, the set runs Casino Design Awards 2020.

Stories are listed newest first, with the issue each one ran in printed beside the headline. Nothing has been rewritten to fit the new sections: every page carries the text the magazine published, at the address it was published at, and the rubric is an index laid over the archive rather than a replacement for it. A story can therefore turn up under more than one heading — a resort tower that is an architecture story in its massing and a hospitality story in its rooms sits in both, and follows the same link either way.

Two things are worth knowing about how this part of the site is put together. The first is that a page is never generated for a heading that has nothing under it: if a rubric appears in the navigation, there is reporting behind it. The second is that the archive is closed at the far end and open at the near one — the earliest issues will not grow, while the current section keeps taking new work, so the balance between them shifts a little with every issue.
